PRACTICAL STEPS FOR WORKPLACE
MENOPAUSE AWARENESS
• Educa琀椀on & Training: Companies can provide
training for managers and employees on what
menopause is and how it can impact work.
• Flexible Work Policies: Con琀椀nue to o昀昀er remote
work op琀椀ons, 昀氀exible hours, or even spaces for
those struggling with hot 昀氀ashes can make a huge
di昀昀erence.
• Health & Wellbeing Programs: Incorpora琀椀ng
menopause-friendly wellness ini琀椀a琀椀ves, such
as nutri琀椀on guidance, yoga classes, or stress
management workshops, can be life-changing.
• Open Conversa琀椀ons: Encouraging mentorship, peer
support groups, or even casual discussions can help
remove s琀椀gma and create a culture of inclusivity.
Speak Louder
We, as women, need to speak louder about
menopause – not in hushed tones or private
Facebook groups, but in boardrooms, team
mee琀椀ngs, and performance reviews. It’s 琀椀me for
workplaces to acknowledge this natural life stage
and create environments where women feel
supported, not sidelined.
If you’re going through menopause or even just
star琀椀ng to think about it, know this: you are not
alone. There is strength in community, power
in knowledge, and freedom in embracing this
phase of life rather than fearing it. Let’s keep the
conversa琀椀on going, not just for ourselves but for
the genera琀椀ons of women coming a昀琀er us.
So, let’s ask the question again: Are we being
heard? And if the answer is no, let’s make
sure we change that.
