Cyber Security Awareness Month, held each October, is a timely
reminder that there are many simple ways we can stay safe from online
threats. Protecting ourselves online is also part of looking after our
overall wellbeing.
This year the focus is on small, everyday habits that not only strengthen
your cyber safety but also support your mental health by reducing stress,
anxiety, and digital overwhelm. Simple actions like using strong passwords,
pausing before clicking links, and keeping your devices updated can boost
your online security, reduce stress, and give you greater peace of mind.
Our top tips to keep yourself safe online:
Tip 1:
Use strong passwords and a password manager
Tip 2:
Enable Multi-factor authentication (MFA) on all accounts
Tip 3:
Recognise and report phishing
Tip 4:
Update your software
